Nominate your local hero!

Not all heroes wear capes! It’s now time to recognise those incredible people who’ve showcased their powers in their local community. 

Westfield Local Heroes wants to celebrate those who’ve made a positive impact in their local community or environment. Nominations are now open for local heroes and community members to be recognised as part of an awards program that celebrates the achievements delivered by people in Australia or New Zealand. 

This opportunity recognises and promotes nominated role models whose work or activities have created positive benefit in one or more of the following ways, such as: 

• Nurturing a sense of belonging or inclusion.

• Helping in times of community crisis.

• Promoting positive health and wellbeing. 

• Help build community resilience. 

• Improving access to community services and groups, and, 

• Protecting the local environment. 

Westfield Local Heroes must meet the selection criteria to be eligible - including, having worked or performed actions that have positively impacted a community or environment within the local area of an Australian or New Zealand Westfield centre; must be of good character and be a positive role model; and must be affiliated with a registered organisation or group.

Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities, with three successful heroes per Westfield centre awarded a grant of $10,000 for their affiliated organisation or group.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Westfield’s Local Heroes!
