Four Big Questions at the Big4 Conference

Last week we had the privilege of ‘virtually’ attending F&P’s Big4 Fundraising Conference to present some great ways of sourcing, securing and nurturing grants and funding activities. In a year for digital innovation, especially as events move online due to the pandemic, we were excited to start conversations with our community members and leaders about what’s important to them when securing funding opportunities.

At The Grants Hub, we implement flexibility, excellence and generosity into our everyday working lives (just to name a few). As such, these principles are carried over to our business practices, and to our customer’s experience, to ensure we meet the needs of hundreds of individuals and organisations seeking grants Australia-wide. During the conference, we realised our storefront visitors had similar questions in mind about our company and its services. So, we thought we’d snapshot our ‘big four questions’ below to hopefully help you learn more about how we can assist you on your grants funding journey.

What is the difference between The Grants Hub and other grant directories?

At The Grants Hub, our focus is on our members and our Grants Directory. We are an online directory based business, hence we can offer our services for a lower, cost-effective rate. We also have a strong focus on technology and innovation, combining the needs of our members with new product launches including our recent additions of Tailored Grant Alerts and Grant Topics. These unique features are game-changers when it comes to finding grants!

Our dedicated Grants Researcher keeps our grant information up to date and relevant, and our team of experts are willing to assist you along your grants journey. The Grants Hub aims to be relational, down to earth, professional and offer top-notch member support. Read more about our company values and what makes us so unique.

We have people working at different locations across the country who are part of our organisation. Can our plan enable each of them to have their own login and access?

At The Grants Hub, we offer varied, cost-effective plans to suit your requirements. For multiple user requests, our Team Plan allows members to have up to 10 users per account. This means that a multi-department or multi-campus organisation, such as a school or local government, can all share the one membership but use The Grants Hub independently. My Favourites, Compare Grants and the Grants Calendar features can all be used independently.

What is a Tailored Grant Alert?

It's a new feature that allows you to have your own customised search for grants delivered straight into your inbox. Users can search through our Grants Directory using keywords to see what funding opportunities are available. Once they have defined and set the parameters for that search, they can then click on "Save This Search". They will then be prompted to set up a Tailored Grant Alert, which will email the member (daily or weekly - depending on their preference) of any grants that are added (or changed) to our directory and that match those search parameters. There is no limit to how many tailored searches any user can create. From now on Grants come directly to you! Here's a short video to show you how to set this feature up on your membership.

If I find a grant that I like, can I download the details of that grant so I can discuss with my team or refer to it while exploring opportunities?

If you find a grant you like and want to discuss it with others, there are multiple ways you can refer back to the funding opportunity. Easily download a PDF of any grant listing, so you can share the information easily with friends, colleagues or committee members for further consideration. At the click of a button, print it for your own records too. For your own reference, you can save the grant by clicking the star icon in the grants directory. Our other features allow you to compare funding opportunities or even add grants to your own calendar to plan for your application.
