They won! They won! They won!
Earbus Foundation of Western Australia are members of The Grants Hub, and on Friday night they took out the big $30,000 grant from Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program! This is in addition to the $5,000 grant they received as winners of the Active Community round.
This Foundation is making a big difference to Aboriginal children in remote Western Australia, who suffer from hearing loss and chronic ear disease. This dynamic and dedicated team is literally helping break the poverty cycle by allowing kids to hear, which helps them continue learning and staying in school.
They are big on data, engagement with parents, go to where the kids are, and clearly know what they’re doing.
Their dream is to put a fully customisable ear bus in the Pilbarra, and now with the help of Sunsuper, they will be able to do it!
It was impressive to hear about this work and see a great example of a standout pitch.
Full credit also goes to Karen, their grant-writing extraordinaire, who knows what she’s doing when it comes to submitting successful grant applications. Grant writers can often be hidden people within an organisation, so it was a true pleasure to be able to meet Karen and celebrate her grants success with her.
Sunsuper received over 1,400 applications for their Dreams for a Better World program. Karen was up against it and her application clearly stood out!
