We are so excited to announce the winners of The Grants Hub Make It Happen Small Grants Program for 2023!

This year we received 622 applications from incredible people and organisations working to influence change in their communities.

We read every single application and we are in awe of the talent, passion and potential for impact that is reflected in each submission. The need for funding is enormous and we are more determined than ever to help grant seekers find grants, in one place, and empower you to make a difference.

The 10 recipients who will each receive a $1000 grant are:

  • Escabags Limited - to provide teddy bears in ‘'Escape Bags’' and provide comfort to children escaping domestic and family violence

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania - to develop the children’s book corner and make families more at home during their stay at Ronald McDonald House North Fitzroy (VIC)

  • Prison Fellowship Australia - to provide food and drink to support families in crisis and need while they are at Perth Magistrates Court (WA)

  • Horse Aid - to fund marketing to increase awareness of mental health programs available to veteran defense personnel and first responders in NSW

  • Southlake's Incorporated - to purchase a coffee machine to spoil parents with a cappuccino and kids with a hot chocolate, for families experiencing disadvantage and homelessness in Cooranbong (NSW)

  • Scripture Union Australia (Goondiwindi State Primary School) - to support the daily breakfast program so that children are not hungry and are better able to concentrate on learning

  • Jack's Butterflies - to update their website, build capacity and enhance the quality of life of children with rare diseases (nationally)

  • Homely Retreats Australia - to hire a professional grant writer who can help enable scale and provide respite experiences to support to those affected by cancer in young children (TAS)

  • Lochiel Progress Association - to install a fit-for-purpose change station at the Lochiel (SA) Community Centre and enable universal access

  • 4 Voices Global Limited - to provide tea and coffee at outreach services for women who are experiencing or at risk in NSW and QLD.

We look forward to sharing follow-up stories on how these funds made a difference to these organisations and in communities across Australia.
