Many grants are closing soon!

Our Directory currently lists 205 grant rounds that will close by mid-November. By comparison, in 2020 we clocked only 67 grant rounds with December deadlines.

Over the next few weeks, carefully managing your grant seeking strategy will help ensure you search for, find and submit to the right grants on time.

Here are 8 tips for making the most of the next month:

  1. Plan sufficient time each week to search for and apply to grants

  2. Stay up-to-date on the latest grant announcements by visiting the Directory regularly

  3. Set up your Tailored Grant Alerts with relevant keywords, for example: COVID-19 grants, education grants, mental health grants, community grants, and/or small business grants (you can set as many alerts as you like!)

  4. Check eligibility criteria carefully so that you’re focusing only on grants you have a reasonable shot at winning

  5. Save grants to your Favourites list for quick reference and to track updates and deadlines

  6. Contact funding providers to introduce yourself and ask questions as soon as possible

  7. Collate grant application materials now (especially accurate project budgets) so that you’re ready by the deadline

  8. Submit early if possible, and definitely on time.

Below are some current trends we’ve noticed that you might want to keep in mind as you search for grants.
