Congratulations to these grant winners!

The nib Foundation have announced successful grant applicants from their latest funding round and there are a number of winners from The Grants Hub community! Congratulations to these members who have been awarded funding for some great projects:

Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation
Holyoake DRUMBEAT (Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes and Thoughts) program is targeted at 12-25 year olds. Twenty-four djembe drums will be purchased as an ongoing resource for the community, along with the training of 20 local staff to deliver the program, which includes; core rhythms, discussions, games, improvisation and performance to facilitate learning about relationships, harmony, identity, community, emotions and teamwork.

The Place
The Place is a centrally located, accessible community centre that facilitates and enables participant-led activities to build social connections and a culture of respect and resilience. Young Parents Group is a collaborative multi-agency model that supports young mums and dads up to 25 years of age, to improve their mental and social wellbeing and build their capacity as parents. Support from The Place will reinstate the already proven successful program, allowing young parents free access to weekly sessions covering educational workshops, guest speakers, peer support activities and mentoring opportunities.

Tuberous Sclerosis Australia
Every week, another baby is born in Australia with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) joining the 2000 Australians already living with the complex genetic disease. TSC tumours can grow in any organ of the body, commonly affecting the brain, skin, heart, lungs and kidneys. Tuberous Sclerosis Australia has recognised a critical need to develop resources to address the lack of up-to-date and accurate information currently available at the time a child is diagnosed with this rare and incurable disease. The Parachute Pack gives parents and carers the information, connections and hope they need to navigate their child's diagnosis of TSC.

These three grant recipients are just a tiny sample of the incredible work being doing around Australia by members of The Grants Hub. We just love being able to help organisations find funding to support their work. Keep it up!
