The Grants Hub recently helped find and prepare a $50,000 grant application for Melbourne Homeless Collective to the Bank of Melbourne Neighbourhood Fund. We are excited to share that they were successful! The organisation has now been able to purchase a desperately needed van, which will enable them to supply the homeless with blankets and sanitary products.

Melbourne Homeless Collective, a homeless outreach charity based in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, will use the funding for their Melbourne-based initiatives as the organisation sets out to support the homeless.

Director Donna Stolzenberg, said the grant will be used for a van to support their efforts in outreach within the community. This will enable them to send out items to the people they support, with initiatives such as Blanket Melbourne and Melbourne Period Project, supplying the homeless with blankets and sanitary products.

On top of the purchase of a van, the grant will be used for a digital media package used to educate people about homelessness.

Donna explained that The Grants Hub helped them with searching and the application process of the grant. “I’m the founder of the charity. There is no time to waste on searching for a grant, or putting in applications that aren’t strong.”

The Grants Hub is thrilled with the opportunities Melbourne Homeless Collective now have as a result of winning this grant and wish them all the best with their new projects.
