Who is looking for grants in Victoria

According to the ACNC’s most recent Australian Charities Report*, there are just under 60,000 registered charities in Australia with:

  • 11,491 charities (or 22.8%) based in Victoria

  • 40% of charities have DGR status.

  • There is a very high volume of Charitable Trusts and Foundations based in Victoria established by or as bequests of Melbourne-based philanthropists. Some of these include the Ian Potter Foundation, the Collier Charitable Fund, the R.E. Ross Trust, the William Buckland Foundation, and the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust - just to name a few.
