Jessie has over 15 years experience in funding and grants. She has worked with government, not-for-profits and businesses in a range of grant related capacities, including: advising local government on grant-making policies and protocols; developing customised grant and funding programs for not-for-profits; sitting on NGO boards as a project planning and management advisor; preparing multi-million dollar national and international grant applications; sitting on grant assessment panels; and designing and facilitating grant writing workshops.

    When others see blockers, Jessie sees opportunities. She is a problem solver and solution seeker, who has merged grants with tech to solve grant accessibility issues across Australia. Her commitment to create an easy-to-use, comprehensive and cutting edge online grants platform is reflective in each aspect of The Grants Hub. From the way members search and find grants, to the way our team works remotely, Jessie leads the way in innovation.

    Living in regional Victoria and raising three young kids, Jessie is passionate about challenging the norm whilst running a business of excellence. Winning multiple business awards in 2016 is testament to this.

    Justin has over 12 years experience in the education sector, with a passion for training, people engagement and system development. Joining The Grants Hub in an official role in 2016, Justin is the critical link between our members and our team. Whether it’s helping users get the most out of the many features of our Grants Directory, or evaluating member feedback to help steer new developments and role out continual improvements, Justin is passionate about leading our members to success.

    Justin keeps everything running smoothly so that ultimately, our members can find the grants they’re after, hassle free. His systematic approach ensures that the integration between technology and human resources is well-balanced, providing users with an efficient and personable experience when using The Grants Hub interface.

    As Business Manager, Justin is responsible for:

    Contact Lesley

    Lesley has an impressive record in senior leadership positions within the not-for-profit, education, health and community sectors. Since 2004, Lesley has demonstrated a profound understanding of the operation of community and not-for-profit organisations involved in areas including health promotion support for the homeless, preschool attendance for disadvantaged families, community education and addressing family violence. Lesley’s experience includes active participation in strategic planning, business planning and restructure, governance functions, compliance and acquittal, research and analysis, and stakeholder management.

    Lesley is the Founder of Capital Giving, a philanthropic initiative established to support projects of benefit to women and girls in the ACT and surrounding areas.

    At The Grants Hub, Lesley:

    • Builds the grants and fundraising capacity of our members
    • Works with consulting clients to strengthen their capacity to manage an effective grants program
    • Monitors grant, funding and not-for-profit trends across Australia
    • Writes and reviews grant applications, including preparing support documentation.

    Kristine Hancock, Grants Researcher

    Contact Kristine

    Kristine has over 15 years experience in project coordination and training both in Australia and Asia. Her areas of specialty include refugee settlement and international education.

    She is an experienced grants researcher, information sharer and client manager, with a strong history in: liaising with funders around Australia; designing and delivering grants training workshops; providing one-to-one grant support to hundreds of community members from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; developing tools, tips and a range of online resources to upskill grant seekers; advocating to all levels of government and peak national agencies on behalf of established and emerging communities in the context of access to funding; and increasing opportunities for meaningful social and economic inclusion by sourcing funding for a diverse range of events and projects.

    As Grants Researcher at The Grants Hub, Kristine:

    • Helps our members find grants effectively
    • Manages our grants research and database
    • Liaises with funding bodies
    • Disseminates grants information to our members
    • Creates online tutorials.

    Brendan Sharman, Designer

    With 10 years experience working in the creative and digital design space, Brendan has extensive knowledge in how best to solve business problems through great design. A healthy curiosity and passion for his craft have lead Brendan to producing award winning work for some of Australia’s biggest brands including; Telstra, AGL, GSK, Mercedes, TAC and NAB.

    Brendan’s focus on experience design and usability is at the heart of creating digital experiences that truly help individuals and organisations to stand out and achieve their goals in this fast-paced digital society.


    Taylor

    Taylor Boccardo, Performance Media Specialist

    Taylor originates from Perth, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in communications, media studies and marketing. Having moved east for a change of pace, Taylor enjoys meeting new people, practicing Pilates and baking - though not all at the same time.

    She has developed fine-honed skills in performance media, and is diligent at improving rankings and conversions across various digital platforms. Taylor’s interest in performance media continues to grow as she sees how successful and cost effective it is ahead of traditional advertising mediums.
