Jessie Ballantyne
Founder
After launching The Grants Hub in 2013 and growing it to a fully remote, for-purpose tech business serving 3,000+ organisations Australia-wide, Jessie's role is now leading innovation, brand, business development, marketing and strategy.
Intially creating The Grants Hub after spending countless hours listening to grant seekers about their needs and pain points, brainstorming ideas, considering solutions, trialling designs, researching grants, and entering hundreds of listings into the grants database, Jessie now has 20+ years in funding and grants.
She has worked with not-for-profits, government and businesses across the grants spectrum, including:
-
Advising funding providers
-
Improving grant systems
-
Advising government on grants - particularly around AI
-
Upskilling community grant skills from the grassroots level up
-
Winning $40m+ grant applications
-
Building a system and team to track all of Australia’s grant opportunities for over 13 years at The Grants Hub

Ultimately, when others see blockers, Jessie sees opportunities - she is a creative problem solver at heart. She's proud that The Grants Hub remains bootstrapped (self-funded), 100% family-owned, and financially sustainable.
And while she hates talking about herself, the team has been kind enough to share, "Her persistence and passion enabled the launch of The Grants Hub as a successful business that efficiently and resourcefully responds to grant seeker needs. She also cemented a strong ethos aimed at empowering The Grants Hub team to innovate together and grow professionally."
