Grant of the Week

Focussed on improving the welfare and wellbeing of young people from severely disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds, the Matana Foundation for Young People accepts grant applications at any time!

The Foundation prioritises projects and organisations that address the causes of youth disadvantage, including those:

  • Targeting school retention and increased education achievement for students who are at risk of dropping out of school
  • Targeting employment skills development, employment and career pathways
  • Targeting social and community connectedness, personal significance and social and emotional outcomes
  • Providing services in geographical areas across Australia where funding is difficult to source.

Grants are usually $1,000 - $10,000, and applications must have DGR Item 1 or TCC status.
