## A quick wrap of grant and funding news from across Australia

📖 If you’re applying for the Perpetual Impact Grant this year, it's worth taking a read of Barbara Brangan's [How to Win the Perpetual Impact Grant: An Expert's Guide.](https://www.thegrantshub.com.au/blog/articles/perpetual-impact-grant) It’s full of tips to help strengthen your chance of success with this epic grants program.

👀 The Federal Government has released its [White Paper on Jobs and Opportunities.](https://treasury.gov.au/sites/default/files/2023-09/p2023-447996-working-future.pdf?utm_medium=email&_hsmi=276095831&_hsenc=p2ANqtz----MXIrubgx8kgREzBbXcL9tv_LOAzkEYcAIXrqG9s5JhpI7H7veVIljpqWKTxUgDRzkl01_W-9PTIUjVgpV1s1HzN7Vi9GwSW2bwd9ST9lMA4h4g&utm_content=276095831&utm_source=hs_email) It outlines the Government’s vision for a dynamic and inclusive labour market, and mentions social enterprise. In [a joint statement](https://ministers.treasury.gov.au/ministers/jim-chalmers-2022/media-releases/boosting-opportunity-australias-most-disadvantaged), the Treasurer and Minister for Social Services said "Social enterprises exist specifically to create a social impact and are critical to improving employment outcomes for marginalised Australians battling big barriers to employment as a result of entrenched community disadvantage...This growing sector offers employment opportunities to people experiencing disadvantage through inclusive employment opportunities, job training and on-the-job support to people facing complex barriers to work." Statements like this are classically followed by big funding announcements, so watch this space!

💡 Another AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award & Acceleration Grant Information Session is coming up. These sessions are your chance to ask questions about the two different programs (one is a grant, one is an award). [Make sure you register ](https://agrifutures.com.au/events/qa-sessions-agrifutures-rural-womens-award-acceleration-grant/)if you're interested in this opportunity. Asking questions before you start applying can save a lot of time and help you write a strong, and eligible application.

👔 The NSW business grants program is set to re-open with reduced funding. R&D expert Ben Cusack has written a summary of the changes.
